Gasroots Project is an advocate for grassroots racing and strives to make a positive difference in the sport.
Since 2017, we’ve helped Wisconsin racers, tracks and organizations tell their story in addition to providing financial support through award and advocacy efforts.
THE ROOTS
Short track racing could be considered the foundation of motorsports. Tracks where generations have battled, rivalries are tempered and legacies are written. Every racer, every mechanic and every team have a story. Their passion unites them and their dedication defines them. They’re hard working people who give their all, to win. Gasroots Project was created to tell their stories.
THE MISSION
We believe the power of photos and motion pictures can engage, inspire and educate people. Gasroots Project exists to strengthen and grow grassroots racing through compelling photography and films. Our focus is on teams and tracks in our home state of Wisconsin.
Grant Program
From 2019 to 2022 the Gasroots Grant Program gave financial support to grassroots-level racing teams that competed in the state of Wisconsin. The goal of the program was to recognize and reward racers and their teams for their efforts on and off the track.
During those four years the program gave funds to eleven teams and has produced four short films featuring video award recipients.
