Every race at Beaver Dam Raceway has a winner. The car that completed all the laps first. Behind the winner is second, third, fourth and so on. Keeping record of those positions is Kris Shepard and the Scoring Team. Not only does her team account for every lap made by every car, they are also responsible for determining where each car starts and ensuring every lineup is accurate. It's a balancing act of numbers, averages, points, penalties and inverts. Beyond the stats, the team is dedicated to a positive experience for fans and drivers alike by helping to keep each race night organized and entertaining.

Kris has been Head Scorer at Beaver Dam Raceway for six years. It's a position that she has given much of herself to. It's also a position that has given her much in return. While on the team, she has grown as a person and a leader. Friendships and bonds with officials and with drivers have formed around her. Kris' passion for the sport is rooted in the family environment she finds at "her home" - the track. A race night is more than just lineups and results for Kris. She’s committed to providing racers with a fair scoring platform that is equivalent to the time and effort they put into their cars.
